Biden, Trump Win Delaware Presidential Primaries

The results from Delaware’s hybrid in-person and mail-in presidential primary election are in.

In the state’s Democratic presidential primary, Former Vice President Joe Biden, who served as the state’s longest tenured U.S. Senator has won with over 90 percent of the vote. Other top vote getters were Senators Bernie Sanders (6 percent) and Elizabeth Warren (3 percent.)

President Donald Trump won Delaware’s Republican presidential primary with over 77 percent of the vote. Roque De La Fuente garnered over 22 percent of the vote.

Tuesday night’s primary was largely symbolic as Biden and Trump are both their party’s presumptive nominees.

Delaware will hold primary elections for all other races including Governor and U.S. House and Senate on September 15.
