Governor Hogan Issues New Coronavirus Executive Orders

Maryland Governor Larry Hogan has issued two new COVID-19 executive orders, as the state begins the process of reopening.

On Friday, the Governor signed a new executive order that extends the moratorium on utility shutoffs and late fees. This includes electric, gas, water, sewage, phone, cable TV and internet service providers. That order will remain in effect through at least July 1.

The Governor also signed an executive order that expands services by breweries, wineries and distilleries. As outdoor dining is allowed at restaurants, the Governor will allow the service of alcoholic beverages in outdoor seating areas. He will also allow the third party shipment of alcohol through services like UPS and FedEx.
