Maryland Governor Larry Hogan has announced the state administered more than 800,000 coronavirus tests, including a record 21,140 tests in the last 24 hours.
Even with high amounts of testing at more than 220 testing sites across the state, the state’s seven day positivity rate is 4.45%.
15 of the state’s 24 jurisdictions (23 counties and Baltimore City) have reached a 10 percent testing goal. Worcester County just surpassed this threshold.
In a statement, Governor Larry Hogan said “While a number of states continue to see alarming COVID-19 spikes and outbreaks, the encouraging trends in Maryland’s key metrics are holding steady.”
The Governor continued “We continue to strongly encourage anyone who is interested to get tested at one of the 220+ sites open across the state.”
