Delaware State Police have arrested a 37-year-old Millsboro man following a Tuesday afternoon police pursuit that involved numerous traffic violations.
Troopers attempted to pull over 37-year-old Ronald Foster in the area of Caravel Drive in the River Village development in Millsboro after he was seen spinning tires, making quick evasive maneuvers and failed to stop at a stop sign in his white Mercury Mariner. He refused to stop and continued to evade law enforcement passing a stopped school bus, speeding, failing to stop at multiple stop signs and driving on the shoulder.
Foster eventually came to a stop on westbound Route 24 in the area of Mountaire Farms. He was taken into custody without further incident. A smell of alcohol was detected and a DUI investigation commenced. Troopers also discovered that Foster’s vehicle had fictitious plates and was not registered. There were 4 active court capias’ for Foster’s arrest.
He was arraigned and committed to Sussex Correctional Institution in Georgetown on $3,932 dollars. Foster was charged with Felony Disregard of a Police Officer’s Signal, Driving a Vehicle Under the Influence of Alcohol, Driving While Suspended, Passing a Stopped School Bus, Reckless Driving and 34 other related traffic offenses.
