Officials Investigate Vehicle Arson in Salisbury

Officials with the Maryland State Fire Marshal’s Office say they are investigating an intentionally set fire that heavily damaged a vehicle in Salisbury.

The fire started shortly after 3 a.m. on Monday at a residence in the 800 block of Mohawk Avenue. Officials say a white Chevrolet Impala and a red Mercedes caught fire.

The blaze caused around 18,000 dollars in damages to the vehicles and 1,000 dollars in damages to its contents.

While the cause is believed to be arson, there’s no information on a suspect or a motive.
