Felton, De. (DELMARVA NEWS NOW) — Delaware State Police are investigating a Friday afternoon bank robbery in Felton.
Troopers say the incident happened around 4:48 p.m. at the WSFS Bank on Irish Hill Road. The suspect reportedly approached the teller, displayed a note demanding cash and gestured to his waistband implying he had a weapon. The teller complied and turned over an undisclosed amount of money before the suspect fled on foot southbound to Canterbury Road. No injuries were reported as a result of the bank robbery.
The suspect is described only as a black male wearing a red shirt and black pants. No weapon was displayed. Troopers have not released any surveillance images. Anyone with information on this incident is asked to contact Delaware State Police in Dover at (302) 698-8502.
