Police Make Arrest in Milford Car Dealership Thefts

Milford, De. (DELMARVA NEWS NOW) — Dover Police have arrested three suspects connected to the theft of several vehicles stolen from a car dealership in Milford.

Police say eight new vehicles were stolen from an I.G. Burton dealership on North Rehoboth Boulevard in Milford on Tuesday. Later that day, Dover Police stopped a 2019 black Dodge Charger with three occupants. The three people fled from the vehicle after stopping and were apprehended a short time later. The suspects left the vehicle in drive and it struck a tree.

Police located all 8 stolen vehicles throughout the afternoon and evening on Tuesday.

20-year-old Darius Payne-Bennett was charged with Disregard of a Police Signal, 4 counts of Receiving Stolen Property, 2 counts of Reckless Endangering, Resisting Arrest, Third Degree Conspiracy, Multiple Traffic Offenses, Disorderly Conduct and Capias.

16-year-old Jermaine Walker was charged with Resisting Arrest, Third Degree Conspiracy, Disorderly Conduct and Capias.

16-year-old Patience McCrea

16-year-old Patience McCray was released on unsecured bond for having a capias but faces no additional charges.
