Maryland State Senator Mary Beth Carozza of the 38th district representing Wicomico and Worcester counties is calling on Governor Larry Hogan to reopen restaurants.
In a statement to Delmarva News Network, Senator Carozza said “Maryland restaurants are ready for a safe reopening. I join with our Maryland restaurant operators in urging the Governor’s Administration to communication as soon as possible the date of reopening restaurants and to immediately issue the official operational guidelines.”
She continued “With the key indicators continuing to trend downward including declining hospitalizations in general, we on the Eastern Shore are ready for a safe Stage 2 reopening of our restaurants and attractions like miniature golf, go-karts, arcades and other stand-alone attractions.”
Maryland’s stage one began on May 15. Governor Hogan has not announced when stage two, which is expected to include a limited reopening of restaurants and bars will commence.
