An unmanned minotaur rocket successfully launched from NASA’s Wallops Island Flight Facility on Wednesday morning.
The rocket carrying a “classified payload” for the National Reconnaissance Office launched around 9 a.m.
“Today’s successful launch exemplifies NASA’s proud service to NRO and the nation and I want to thank GSFC/WFF employees and all our partners for their hard work in a very dynamic 2020.” said Wallops Flight Facility Director David Pierce.
Minotaur rockets have launched from Wallops Island for nearly 14 years.
